Llanfair yn Neubwll lies about four miles south east of the town of Holyhead. According to the postal Directory in1886 Llanfair yn Neubwll is a parish in the Holyhead union adjoining the The Valley and comprising the small village of Llanfair and a large portion of Caergeiliog. There is a church called St. Mary's in the parish - St. Mary's between two lakes. The church, which overlooks the Irish sea, is a small irregular building which includes architectural details worthy of note. It appears that these parts at one time belonged to some ancient building. These remains have by now been incorporated into the present structure. The eastern window - which is very unusual is of a design not to be met with elsewhere on the island.
