Llyn Penrhyn.

Mr Derec Evans came to talk to us about birds and take us for a walk around the lake. During the Summer months there lots of snakes around the lake. We visited during the Autumn and made a lot of noise to scare them away. As we were walking around the lake Mr Evans told us the names of the different birds and we were allowed to look at them through binoculars. Mr Evans showed us one duck called the "Ruddy Duck". Sir Peter Scott brought the duck into this country. By now they are a nuisance and there are far too many of them. There is talk of culling them. When I was a pupil at Ysgol Llanddeusant Mr Evans was the headteacher there
